Registrations open for the SET Breakfast Webinar Series

SET wishes to advise that registrations are now open for the SET Breakfast Webinar Series, a ground-breaking initiative for the entire SET community who will have an excellent opportunity to watch live transmission of the entity’s most important and traditional international seminar.

“With the announcement of the postponement of the NAB Show, SET, fulfilling its mission of spreading knowledge, has decided to hold the SET Breakfast @ NAB Show Seminar in another format to ensure the well-being of the community we serve”, said Olímpio José Franco, director-general of SET, in a communique last week.

The seminar has been converted into a series of discussion panels to be transmitted live and on-line (via the Zoom platform), beginning April 6. “For 30 years, the SET Breakfast @ NAB Show Seminar has brought together Brazilian executives and professionals visiting the NAB Show. It is held in a room inside the Las Vegas Convention Center”, Carlos Fini, the entity’s president explained.

“Thanks to this action, Brazil’s media and entertainment professionals will have the opportunity to accompany these debates on their computers or cell phones. The program schedule, topics and speakers have been maintained”, he announced.

The decision was taken at the end of last week, after consulting the board of SET, sponsors and speakers. “We are pleased to learn that everyone quickly approved the idea and maintained their commitment to our event”, Fini pointed out. “Now, more people stand to gain from this not-to-be missed content”, he stressed.

Opinions

Read the opinions of several Brazilian executives about the SET Breakfast @ NAB Show Seminar:

Raymundo Barros, CTO of Rede Globo Network: “It is the space that best reflects the diversity and complexity of the technology and business environment for media companies from Brazil. It is the meeting point where Brazilian executives and engineers have a privileged space to discuss the year’s major trends with the key stakeholders in the digital transformation of the media industry”.

Roberto Franco, Network and Regulatory Affairs Director of SBT:  “The SET Breakfast @ NAB Show Seminar represents one of the best opportunities for the exchange of knowledge between Brazilians and professionals from around the world, between professionals that consume technology and those that develop and provide solutions”.

New positioning

This year, SET has decided to position the SET Breakfast @ NAB Show Seminar with the slogan Technology driving business, aiming to show that new technologies are allies in generating new business. “This is the first time that SET is using a slogan to strategically define the SET Breakfast Seminar in the market.  This is important, so that people understand the real purpose of the event, registering and participating in this important occasion”, in the opinion of Olímpio.
