Increasing Audience Engagement in OTT Streaming from new innovative Flows to AI Metadata Workflows
Streaming continue to advance in the media landscape. Streaming is now characterized by various key points with new challenges. Key points such as reliable, scalable, low latency live streaming; API enabled streaming distribution are now becoming a “norm” whereas challenges with the ad marketplace continues to evolve with a fragmented audience and saturated/fragmented ad layer (programmatic / direct sales / FAST..). There is one additional key point to exploit and it is related to the audience/user engagement. Streaming providers (such as D2C) are now looking into increasing audience engagement and viewership in addition to audience stickiness. Throughout this presentation we will explore how to increase such audience engagement from the new innovative flows (Such as multiview for non 24×7 channels) to usage of AI metadata (with out of the box and BYO-AI model) in the video/streaming domain.
