When we talk about linear live OTT, we have many specialized and niche channels that attract much smaller audiences than popular and conventional channels. These channels, especially government and regional channels, typically feature programming that targets specific, narrow audiences.
During the lecture, we will demonstrate a theoretical statistical distribution of demand for niche and regional channels. As we will show, there is a high concentration of viewers for a few channels and little or no distribution of viewers on most other channels. The proposed challenge is How to increase efficiency for these channels that, although they are 24/7, have little audience.
