Artificial Intelligence for Automatic Audio Mixing in Live Broadcast Sporting Events
AI-driven applications enable the automatic creation of high-quality mixes in various formats, including NGA (Next Generation Audio), without the need for video or other tracking system. Field sounds, crowds, commentary, audio description, etc., are all automatically mixed and with loudness compliant with any standard.
This technology allows for the automatic creation of an immersive audio experience using only regular microphone setups. Without the need for additional tracking or manual operation, only with AI mechanisms that process microphone inputs.
With automation that controls signal levels, it is possible to adopt a simplified approach, focusing on features such as object-based audio (OBA) productions, immersive sound, interactivity, and accessibility options.
The goal of this presentation is to demonstrate the application of Artificial Intelligence for the automation of mixing audio signals in live broadcast sporting events, allowing the creation of processing workflows to support TV 3.0 audio features in real time.
