The Digitaliza Brasil Project is providing Digital TV to cities that would not be covered by investments, at least in the short term, and collaborating with the increase of the population served with TV network programming, offering a considerable increase in audience at a minimum cost for the broadcasters.
However, after the implementation and delivery of the stations, it is necessary to keep the systems operating, an obligation that is of the city halls, according to the public notice that defines the project.
There is a concern about the issue and broadcasters are looking for solutions so that the stations are actually kept in operation.
This presentation seeks to analyze the scenario that involves the situations of city halls, the financial viability of the operation, the risks of blackout and the risks that lack of maintenance bring to broadcasters. We will also seek to discuss the different formats for contracting maintenance services based on our field experiences in the area and throughout Brazil.
