Zé Luiz Nogueira

José Luiz Nogueira studied economics and journalism at PUC-SP and filmmaking at the Berkeley Film Institute in San Francisco. He created and produced many educational series for television, such as the Tele Curso do Segundo Grau for the Fundação Roberto Marinho, programs for TV Cultura, Canal Futura, TV Escola, and several documentary series for Rede Globo.
As a partner at Fabrika Filmes, after writing and directing hundreds of TV programs and commercials, he dedicated himself solely to education. He coordinated the “Robótica Espacial” program, created in partnership with the University of Brasília and FNDE, with the participation of the Brazilian Space Agency.
In pursuit of solutions that meet the World Bank’s Low Cost Education guidelines, he led a multidisciplinary team in creating an OTT streaming channel focused on public education. This gave rise to Cientik, which now involves more than 68 masters and doctors, with a focus on teaching new digital technologies to students and teacher training.
