Executive Director of Radio Itatiaia

Maria Cláudia Santos is the executive director of Rádio Itatiaia, where she has led multiplatform journalistic content strategies for ten years. Recently, she assumed the General Directorship of the company.
A native of Curvelo, Maria Cláudia holds a degree in Journalism and a master’s degree in Social Management. She began her career at the radio station as a studio assistant, moved through Production, International Reporting, and Coordination before taking over the Journalism Directorship in 2015.
During her more than two decades at Itatiaia, she accumulated other experiences as an International Correspondent for Voice of America Radio in the USA, UN Radio in New York, in addition to providing services for various products of Editora Abril.
Passionate about the convergence between tradition and innovation, she has led projects such as the expansion of Itatiaia to the Digital world. In addition, she led editorial initiatives such as the Itatiaia Doc Documentary Platform, with the proposal of a humanized perspective in journalistic production. Their focus has been to combine credibility, innovation, and commitment to the people of Minas Gerais, promoting constant transformation in radio without losing its essence.
