Luciano Leonel Mendes

Professor at the National Institute of Telecommunications (Inatel)

Luciano Leonel Mendes holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Telecommunications from the National Institute of Telecommunications (Inatel), earned in 2001 and 2003, respectively. He completed his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp) in 2007. Since 2001, he has been a professor at Inatel, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, and has served as the technical manager of the Hardware Development Laboratory and as the coordinator of the Master’s program in Telecommunications. He currently leads research activities at the Radiocommunication Reference Center (CRR), overseeing studies in 5G and 6G technologies. He also serves as the research coordinator for the Brazil 6G Project and general coordinator of xGMobile – the Embrapii-Inatel Competence Center for 5G and 6G Networks. Additionally, he represents Inatel in the One6G Association. His main areas of expertise include mobile communications and multicarrier modulation techniques.
