Senior Regional VP Media Sales America, Eutelsat

Ignacio Gonzalez-Nunez is the Senior VP of Media Sales for Eutelsat in the Americas. He was formerly the VP of Business Development, the Group Chief Risk Officer (CRO), and led the strategic business expansion of Eutelsat in the Americas via the acquisition of Mexican Satmex and purchase of Brazilian operating licenses.
Before his CRO role, he held the Advisor to the CEO position leading Eutelsat transformational and corporate development projects while acting as Regional Director for Spain and Latin America. After completing the strategic 33% investment in Hispasat, he served as Deputy CEO & CCO of Hispasat to facilitate the strategic partnership, achieving a 33% revenue growth within 2 years.
Ignacio was a board member at Eutelsat Latin America, 2014-2020. He also was alternate director of the European Association of Satellite Operators, 2007-2014, representing Eutelsat, where he was elected Vice-Chairman in 2007. In 2018, he promoted the creation of the Colombian Space Agency, where he is an Associate Member.
Ignacio holds an MBN from the IE Business School and a Master of Science on Spacecraft Technology & Satellite Comms from the University College London.
