Gustavo Mendicino

President of the Minas Gerais Communication Company

Gustavo Mendicino, president of Empresa Mineira de Comunicação, which manages Rede Minas and Rádio Inconfidência, holds a degree in Journalism from the Centro Universitário de Belo Horizonte (UNIBH). Also a communications entrepreneur, he has a postgraduate degree in Integrated Communication and Strategic Marketing from PUC-MG. He was a Communications Advisor for Embratur, Communications Coordinator for Special Projects at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Communications Coordinator for the Associação Pró Arte e Cultura (APPA), and Chief Communications Advisor for the Minas Gerais State Secretariat of Culture and Tourism (Secult-MG). For the Belo Horizonte City Hall, he was director of the Pampulha Modern Ensemble, a World Heritage Site, and director of Promotion and Marketing for Belotur. In addition, he worked for nine years at the newspaper Hoje em Dia as a journalist and columnist.
