Educator and researcher in the areas of communication, education, and new technologies. He holds a PhD from UFMG and has worked in public and educational communication for over 25 years. He was president of ABTU — the Brazilian Association of University Television, where he currently serves as an advisor. He is the founder and coordinator of NERD — the Center for Studies of Digital Reality, author of books and articles, columnist on communication, education, and technology, and coordinator of the Dânia de Paula Institute.
