Carlos Eduardo Coelho Freire Batista

Associate Professor at the Center for Informatics of the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB)

He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio, 2013), where he contributed as a research collaborator at the Telemidia Laboratory.

He completed a postdoctoral research internship at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD, 2017). Currently, he is a senior researcher and project coordinator at LAViD (Laboratory of Digital Video Applications at UFPB), where he has been involved since its inception.

He participated in the Middleware Working Group of the Brazilian Digital TV Forum and also contributed to the international standardization of related technologies through the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
