Carlos Chelfo

Carlos A. M. Chelfo has been working in the accounting profession for over 18 years, primarily in public institutions. He currently serves as a federal civil servant. He was the Municipal Secretary of Finance in Machados-PE. In the state of Rio de Janeiro, he held the position of Deputy Secretary of Administration in the Secretariats of Government, the Chief of Staff, and the Penitentiary Administration. At the federal level, he was the Coordinator for Combating Piracy, President of the Ethics Committee of ANCNE, and a Member of the National Council for Combating Piracy under the Ministry of Justice. He served as an instructor for courses on Public Budget, Public Finance, Fiscal Responsibility Law, and Ethics in the Public Sector at the School of Higher Administration of the Ministry of Economy. He was also an instructor for Finance and Financial Administration disciplines at the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro. He taught Public Accounting, International Accounting, and Controlling at Mackenzie Rio College. He is an accredited professor with the Regional Accounting Councils: AP, DF, MG, RJ, SP, and TO. He holds a Master’s degree in Accounting Sciences from UFRJ, a post-graduate degree in Public Management from FIJ, and a specialization in Administrative Law from Unieducar. He is certified in IFRS and NIAs by FIPECAFI/IBRACON/BID. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Faculdade Moraes Junior.
