Alessandro Molon

Alessandro Molon holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in History from the Fluminense Federal University (UFF), a bachelor’s degree in Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), and a PhD in Law from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). During his term as a federal deputy, he played a key role as rapporteur of the Internet Civil Rights Framework, the country’s first law designed to safeguard internet privacy, freedom of expression, and net neutrality. Molon is currently a professor in the Law Department at PUC-Rio and Executive Director of the Open Internet Alliance.
