Flávio Lara Rezende
President of ABERT
A native of Belo Horizonte, Flávio Lara Resende is a lawyer and journalist, with a postgraduate degree in Financial Administration and an MBA in Finance.
Vice-president of Institutional Affairs and general director of Grupo Bandeirantes de Comunicação, he also holds the positions of general director of TV Bandeirantes and Rádio Bandnews.
Upon assuming the presidency of ABERT, in August 2020, he resigned from the presidency of the Association of Communication Vehicles of the Federal District (AVEC / DF), an entity he had directed since 2010.
In August 2022, Flávio Lara Resende was reappointed as president of ABERT for a new period of two years.
At the International Broadcasting Association (AIR), an entity that brings together 17 thousand radio and television stations from the Three Americas, he holds the position of vice-president.
He is also a member of GIRED (Redistribution and Digitalization Process Implementation Group) of the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel); GAISPI (Group for Monitoring the Implementation of Solutions for Interference Problems in the 3.5 GHz band) from Anatel; of the Superior Council of CONAR (National Council for Advertising Self-Regulation), of the Superior Council of CENP (Executive Council of Standard Norms), full member of the Social Communication Council of the National Congress and Anatel Advisory Council
Flávio Lara Resende held positions in the federal and Minas Gerais governments, in addition to being Cultural and Information Attaché at the Brazilian Embassy in London, England.
